Following
the success of the recent Triumph area meeting which was held at Southfork
Caravan a few weeks ago, we are now looking forward towards the summer and to
the next big event.
The 5th annual Retro Fundraising event in Martock is taking place on the 2nd
July. As the official campsite for the
event, we are still taking bookings but space is filling up fast with limited
pitches now available. Our fabulous
glamping pod is already booked for the event as well as the static caravan holiday homes.
The retro vehicle
cavalcade will take place on the morning of 2nd July at 10.00 am in
Martock followed by the Retro Fundraising show from 11.00 am at Martock
Recreation ground until 4.00 pm. As well
as the vintage and retro vehicles on display there will be a great range of
caterers as well as trade stalls selling a range of food and drink, automotive
and home and garden goods. There will be
live music and kids games to keep the whole family occupied.

touch with us here at Southfork Caravan Park whilst we still have spaces. Many of the vehicles taking place in the
cavalcade and show will be on the campsite over the weekend, including some
fabulous vintage teardrop caravans – it is always a pleasure to see them.
This is a fantastic local fundraiser which
has raised over £22,000 for local charity over the past 4 years and is always a
great event to be involved in and it brings a fantastic atmosphere to the site.
If you are
planning to make a weekend of it, the 2017 Coker-Fest, held in the beautiful grounds of Longlands
in nearby East Coker is due to take place from 5 pm on 1st July this
year. With great live music from local
bands, bars (with Somerset cider of course!) and great food from local
suppliers it looks to be a fantastic evening.
