Early
spring is the perfect time to book a Glamping break in Somerset. After the
madness of Christmas and as the days start to get a bit longer the first
snowdrops, the ‘harbingers of Spring’ start to appear, and we all start to
think about getting out and about a bit more.
For all but the most intrepid of us though, a camping break in a tent at
this time of year is not so appealing!
Glamping, in our exclusively designed pod however, offers the
opportunity for a quick, hassle free getaway for a couple of nights. There is plenty to see and do in Somerset in
the winter, from fireworks at sea at the Grand Pier in Weston Super
Mare to Race days at Wincanton. Forde
Abbey, near Chard in South Somerset is once again holding snowdrop weekends throughout February where you get
the chance to see the snowdrops which appear in their thousands across the
whole estate, in the gardens and lining the drive. At this time of year, visitors to
the abbey can benefit from reduced winter entrance fees for the garden.
Another
lovely garden to visit is the Winter Garden at nearby Montacute House.
The topiaries and hedges make this a particularly beautiful garden to
visit on a frosty day.
Our luxury
Glamping Pod is the perfect place to stay for a short, early season camping
break. Constructed fully
from timber with a lovely, comfortable double bed and all bed linens, it has
internal and external light, is fully insulated and is furnished with a blanket
box for storage. The pod is designed to
sleep two adults in complete comfort, whatever the weather outside so it is
ideal for a cosy, romantic break to celebrate St Valentines day!
