Spring has definitely arrived in Somerset and the park is coming to life with colour. We have lots of exciting events coming up in the summer – The Annual Retro Fundraiser is always popular and, as the official campsite for the event, pitches are filing up – we do still have some space available though so get in touch soon to secure your pitch.      

Our quiet, rural campsite and caravan park, located between Martock and South Petherton and easily accessible from the M5 and A303.  It is an ideal base for exploring the area and both the Somerset and Dorset coastlines.  we have a variety of accommodation to suit all – from our luxury glamping pod to well equipped static caravans and spacious touring pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents.   

Half term is fast approaching now and the camping season is in full swing, so if you fancy a trip to Somerset over the Bank Holiday Weekend or half term week, there are plenty of events close by to keep the family entertained.   

The Grand Pier at Weston-Super-Mare is hosting a Teddy Bears Picnic on 28th May with Children’s Disco and party games and a lunch time picnic lunch included as well as a visit to the soft play area it promises to be a great event for children and teddy bears alike!  For tickets visit the Grand Pier Website.   

For more family friendly fun, Glastonbury Abbey are running a shield making and painting session on Friday 2nd June, combine with a tour of  the historic abbey and grounds, a visit to King Arthur’s Grave and, not forgetting the museum and giftshop!    

For a bit of retail therapy, just a 30 minute drive from the campsite at Shepton Mallet, the lovely Kilver Court Designer Shopping Village is well worth a visit, with clothes, homewares and a garden nursery there is plenty to choose from.  You can also visit the beautiful Kilver Court Gardens, set against the imposing 19th Century viaduct, it’s a stunning location and well worth a visit.   

For a more restful afternoon, have a look at the West Somerset Railway.  Take a nostalgic trip around the beautiful Somerset coast and country side on a working steam train – there are a number of special events on throughout the year.  Tickets are cheaper if booked in advance.   Contact us for more information on availability for our Touring pitches, Glamping cabin and static caravans.
